Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. – John 17:3
This verse talks about the importance of the eternal life, but what is it really? We get the idea that the eternal comes from God; it is a gift, a life that is more than what we know now. It is given to us when God sent His son Jesus to die for us. What are some of the new things that you have learned or understood about what the Gospel is?
Pray: Spend some time worshiping God and thanking Him for the gift of the gospel – for His good news to you! you can do this through song, prayer or journaling.
Meditation: slowly read the passages and quotes; listen for the Lord’s voice to you. Feel the freedom to pause on different ones and listen for the ways God is trying to get your attention.
Try to identify words or phrases that stick out to you. Circle or underline them.
Proceed to meditate or “chew” on one or more passages/quotes. Ponder on it in the light of your feelings, emotions, memories, current situation, and future.
Read: 1 Corinthians 15:1-8 and Galations 2:20
Application: I hope you did day 23 before you did this one. Remember once Jesus becomes the Lord of your life, sin will be completely conquered. On day 23, we learned that the goodness of God is always fighting with the evil and imperfections of our human selves. In everything we do, we always falls hort. Man will always fall short of perfection. If you allow God to fill you, He will bridge the relationship between you two using His love expressed by Jesus Christ. So realistically, where are you really with God? Do you just kinda believe He exists and brush Him off to the side? Or maybe you just think He’s this all-knowing being and He’ll take care of everything? Wherever yolu are, just be true to your own self and be honest with God.
Pray: Spend some time reflecting on the reality of your death to sin and your new life in Christ.
